A Professional Development Programme (PDP) was conducted in the campus for Non Teaching Staff from 15-17 July 2015.The programme was proposed as a part of Human Resource Development initiative by Prof. Shikha Bhardwaj and Dr. Shruti Gupta which was very well recognized and allowed to execute. Three days event consists of three types of basic module of Planning, Execution and Management orientation of Non Teaching Staff. Around 30 participants have participated enthusiastically from Army Institute of Education and Army Institute of Management & Technology. The Facilitators were Dr. Shruti Gupta, Dr. Sanjeev Tandon, Prof. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Surabhi Pandey and Prof. Shikha Bhardwaj. The sessions were mix of theory and practical. There were several activities where participants enjoyed as individual and groups. Winners of various activities were Mr. Mam Chand, Mr. Ranjit Singh, Mr. Pawan, Mr. Hukum Chand, Mr. Amar Singh, Mr. Nitin, Mr. Arif, Mr, Vivek Gupta, Mr. Raj Singh, Mr. Devesh, Mr. Amit, Mr. Khushi Ram, Mr. Devendra Singh, Mr. Kishan Pal, Mr. kiran, Mr. Hem nath and Mr. Vijay. The event concluded with appreciation of Director, Registrar and Participants feedback. The idea was conceived and delivered in an effective manner which was highly appreciated by all.
As per the observations and directions given by Lt. Gen. KJ Singh, AVSM, GOC-in-C, Western Command, AIMT planned Faculty Development Programme under guidance of Col Devender Singh (Trainer) from 19th Jan 2015 (Monday, noon 2.30 pm onwards) to 20th Jan’2015 (Tuesday, till 5.30 pm). The FDP was regarding, “Training the Trainers Programme on Defence Procurement Process”.

During this visit of Col Devender Singh almost half of the DPM 2009 could be covered. He has insisted to conduct another 2 days training session for the above mentioned faculty members during Feb 2015. He will be covering DPM 2009 (remaining part), DPP 2013 and the recent amendments suggested by the present Govt for its “Make in India” Campaign.
Col Devender Singh has suggested the faculty team to prepare MDP curriculum for corporate clients. Mean while, the course curriculum will be prepared and the corrections would be suggested (through email) by the trainer. Next date for the training would be decided in consultation with the trainer (tentatively during mid Feb 2015).
